Crispy Sesame Chicken Wings
Ingredients
The Marinade
The Sauce
Instructions
-
Place chicken wings in a mixing bowl. Add Shaoh Shing wine, soy sauce, white pepper, grated garlic and grated ginger. Toss to combine.
-
In a plastic bag or ziplock bag, add corn starch and baking powder. Give a little shake to combine. Then add the marinated chicken in the bag and make sure each piece is coated.
-
In a large pot, using a candy/fryer thermometer, heat about an inch deep of vegetable oil to 350º.  Carefully place the chicken wings in the oil one at a time. Stir occasionally to insure that they are not sticking together. Fry for about 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
-
Meanwhile, to make the sauce, heat up the chicken stock in a wok and add soy sauce and sugar. Â Make a slurry by combining corn starch and water, and whisk it in the sauce. Â When the sauce has thickened up and bubbly, turn off the heat. Â Whisk in sesame oil.
-
When the wings are done frying, pour them into the wok with the sauce and toss to combine.
-
Plate the wings and garnish with toasted sesame seeds on top. Enjoy!
